Soul less eyes was the only thing visible, it was dark and the air was thick and slimy, burning flesh being a strong scent wafting through the air. Blood was soaking into the ground and fires were burning across the plains, Catastrophe as far as the eye could see.
Ruined buildings and corpses flooding my vision everywhere I looked.
Friends, family members and strangers strung across the face of Mobius in Parts, bits, and wholes.
All of Them, Dead.
This Had to be some kind of Nightmare.... What sort of creature could do this?
What could Possibly be powerful enough to wipe out the inhabitants of an entire planet? And worse yet, The faces of close loved ones and friends were lying lifelessly across the red dyed streets.
Sonic, Sonia, Mom and Dad...
Knuckles, Shadow and Rouge...
Tails and Amy....
Row after Row of them, All Bloodied and Unmoving.
So Many Familiar Faces that were empty of all signs of life.
Manic jerked awake with a scream, face wet with tears and more of them were making their way down his cheeks, a shudder making it's way down the length of his Spine.
Curling in On himself and shivering with the fear of the Nightmares still plaguing his mind, a whimper escaped his lips.
"No, no, no.... it's not real. It's just a Dream, a nightmare!" This had been going on for days now, and he'd had enough. Why was he having dreams like these? No not dreams, Nightmares.
"Manic, What's Wrong?!" Sonic slammed the door open looking ready to attack the first thing that showed any hint of being dangerous, His eyes darted across the room and back scanning for danger before coming to rest on his terror-stricken little Brother.
Sonia Ran in behind sonic, quacking with each step in her ducky nightgown and slippers, wielding a baseball bat yet still retaining her fierce mama grizzly bear look.
Manic stared wide-eyed at the pair, then started to rub the tears from his eyes, trying his best to quit shaking; he felt like a nervous wreak, but he didn't want Sonic or Sonia seeing him like this again, he felt weak but more than that he was terrified, The nightmares refusing to leave his memories.
After seeing that there wasn't anything threatening around, Sonia made her way over to her little brothers bedside.
"What's wrong manic? Was it another Nightmare?" Manic winced and looked up at his sister, worry evident in her crystal blue eyes and he bit his lip.
"Yeah, B-but it's okay. I'm fine..." Manic inwardly cursed himself for not steadying his voice before speaking.
"Manic that's the fifth time this week you've had these nightmares... are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" Sonic asked giving Manic one of those worried brotherly looks.
"Nnn, No... It's fine. Just go back to bed okay?" And with that the green hedgie laid down, turned on his side and pulled the covers up over his head, hoping beyond hope they would take the hint and leave.
Besides the only thing the green hedgie wanted to do right now was to focus on wiping the remnants of his hellish nightmare from his mind.
Sonia turned to her older brother, "Son-" Sonic held up a single finger indicating silence then pointed to the hallway and Sonia nodded.
They both walked out, Sonia turning the light they'd turned on, off and then closing the door behind her.
"Sonic, I'm getting worried; Manic's been having these nightmares every night this week and it doesn't look like he's gotten much rest at all."
"I know an-"
"I just can't figure out why he wont talk to us about them, I mean it could help if he'd try!"
"Don't worry Sonia, I'm sure he'll open up when he's ready to."
"But when is that going to be? I mean, look at him, he's a nervous wreak. He was always so open with us about things before, I've never seen him act like this before. What if he's having a late reaction break down from all those years living in sewers and back alleys? or maybe it's trauma from all those battles with Robotnik or Maybe-"
"Sonia, Sonia calm down..." Sonic held his hands palm up, "I think your having a Nervous Break down."
Sonia glowered at him, " I'm being Serious!" She snapped.
"Okay, okay sorry. Lets just go back to bed for now okay?"
"But what about Manic?"
"What about him? It's not like we can make him talk if he doesn't want too, I mean I wouldn't if I was him... But if it's really bothering him you know he'll come to us. Just give him time and be ready to listen when he does."
Sonia let out a deep sigh, "Okay, but if he doesn't come to us soon I'm gonna force the information from him."
"Sure, whatever you say. Now go get some sleep." And with that, Sonic gave her a quick peck on the cheek and zoomed down to his room.
Sonia stood there in the hallway for a few minutes before finally sighing, giving one last longing look at her lil brothers bedroom door then walked to her own room.
